Co-created by Carmela Corbett and Cecilia Albertini, DAUGHTERHOOD, is a dark comedy about a dysfunctional relationship between Carrie, an alcoholic, controlling stage mother and her adult daughter, Megan. Carrie does everything in her power to ensure that Megan will become a famous actress, often with disastrous, humiliating results.
DAUGHTERHOOD premiered at the Academy Award Qualifying HollyShorts festival November, 2020 and is an official selection of the LA Comedy Festival 2021.
It was screened as part of the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival April 28th-30th 2022 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles.
